About ARC
ARC is a partnership company owned by the capital municipalities Dragør, Frederiksberg, Hvidovre, Copenhagen and Tårnby. Our core businesses are recycling and waste-to-energy incineration. Also, we are co-owners of an environmentally safe deposit where non-recyclable and non-incinerable waste is stored.
The environment is an important co-player to ARC. We strive to take the lead in search of the most considerate working methods in waste handling in accordance with the Danish Waste System.
Along with a number of other waste companies we are a member of the association affalddanmark. The main purpose of the association is to attend the interests of the members in relation to national and international authorities.
ARC is managed by a balancing principle. This entails that income and expences are to even out one another during the course of time. Hence, it is not the objective of the company to make economic profit but rather to create benefits for the municipalities and the environment.

The waste-to-energy plant is located close to the centre of Copenhagen by the coast of Øresund.
